Philippa (Pippa) was born and raised in South Africa. She essentially grew up in a Dance Studio and naturally gravitated to the Performing Arts where she was involved as a student, performer, teacher, and mentor. In 2005 Pippa joined Christelle Smit Dance Studio, a large established studio of more than 300 student members, as the junior partner. Beyond training students and developing new genres & curriculum to grow the studio further, she also coordinated events and shows, but her passion was best served in expanding their studio's philanthropic footprint through active outreach initiatives to underprivileged children in the surrounding communities, offering Tuition Free Dance scholarships and pro bono teachings to talented dancers. In 2005 Pippa organized a statewide AIDS Awareness Campaign in collaboration with Pieter-Dirk Uys, a prime time South African comedian. Pippa takes great pleasure in working with children as is evident from her quote during an interview with a local newspaper:" Working with children who are so pure and honest is a daily reminder of the inherent goodness in People.” In 2011 Pippa completed her AIDT Advanced Associate Diploma of Dance with Honors with Distinction which is a 6-year curriculum; that same year she Immigrated to Canada with her husband. During 2013 to 2017 Pippa was actively involved in two extensive renovations of their homes. One home is located in Heritage District of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario which she sold upon moving to Naples; this sale set the milestone for resale price per square foot in the area and achieved a 53% Return on a two-year Investment. Pippa has provided consultations on several architectural and interior design projects since 2011 and worked for a Residential Investment fund (NAFDOF) post-2013 where she worked in the acquisitions team with due diligence and analysis of single-family properties purchased for rental purposes.
